Our selection of unique eco-friendly rings does not contain “inspired,” only authentic vintage engagement rings which were produced decades ago. Always conflict free. Our collection only has rings that were crafted with recycled metals, along with original antique mine cut and European cut diamonds that were produced 50 to 100 years. One of our favorite diamond shapes (along with many past and present Hollywood stars) is the emerald cut diamond. Emerald cut diamonds have been popular since the Art Deco era, however they really came back into prominence during the 1960's and the 1970's with continued popularity today. Emerald cut diamonds are less stated, and considered to be one of the most elegant diamond shapes, with only 58 facets. The traditional emerald cut diamond is rectangular and have a length to width ratio of 1.3 or 1.4 to 1. Emerald cut shapes also include the square cut, but by far the most popular is the rectangular shape. If you’re looking for a stunning shape, we recommend the timeless emerald cut diamond. Here are five of our favorite vintage emerald cut engagement rings.

The three stone engagement ring happens to be one of our favorite styles. It has been popular for decades, and has withstood the test of time. We actually showcased beautiful three stone engagement rings in our October blog, but with the popularity of precious (and semi precious) gemstones today, we wanted to feature three stone engagement rings with a pop of color. Happy Birthday Aquamarine!

3/12/2019 5:16 AM

One of our favorite colors is the sky blue hue of the beautiful, semiprecious gemstone aquamarine. The aquamarine celebrates its birthday every March, and there is really is no better way to welcome the spring. The Aquamarine is a proud standing member of the beryl family, and is known for its beautiful shades of blue, like sky blue and sea blue. The more vivid, or intense, the blue the more valuable it will be. The Aquamarine is a stunning gemstone which has been a popular choice for engagement rings since the Victorian and Art Deco eras. It enjoyed a rebirth in vintage cocktail rings during the mid century (including the 1960s and 1970's). The legend of this stone is one of bravery and determination. Interestingly enough, it was also used to ease anxiety. Aquamarine rates a 8.0 on the Moh's hardness scale and is a durable gemstone, however we do not recommend using an ultrasonic cleaner. Please use a soft toothbrush! Let’s wish a “happy birthday” to the Aquamarine, and look at 5 of our favorite engagement rings.
